Pentax Optio M30

The compact Optio M series exterior has been redesigned for 2007. Powered by an ultra-thin Lithium-Ion battery and featuring a miniaturized circuit board, the M30 body is a slim 0.7 inches (18mm). While the aluminum alloy body offers ruggedness as well...

The Optio M30 features a Digital Shake Reduction mode to adjust the camera sensitivity to as high as ISO 3200 to match the brightness of the subject. Even in low-light conditions, this feature increases shutter speeds to help reduce blurring and...

Pentax Optio M30

The Optio M30 is the latest model in Pentax's M-Series of "nicely equipped" yet affordable ultra-compact digital cameras. Those familiar with the Optio series and naming system may be a bit confused though as the M-Series is no longer the entry level,...

Sleek, slender, very elegant, handy 7.1-megapixel camera, Logically laid out and very simple to use, High ISO 3200 sensitivity available, Decent battery life

Some menus and functions are buried or not marked, No optical zoom in movie mode, Digital anti-blur only, 2.5-inch LCD has low 115k pixel resolution

Battery life is rated at 230 pictures -- not great but acceptable, and significantly better than the A30's 150 pictures

Pentax moved the M-Series "upscale" with the totally redesigned Optio M30. It is a sleek, slender and very elegant camera that is certain to attract attention. Its 7.1 megapixel resolution is plenty good enough even for massive enlargements or...

Owners Opinion: Pentax Optio M30 (Anton0329, 15 Jul 07)

This must easily be the worst P&S I have ever owned. Images are noisy even at low ISO - cannot make even decent (not great) 6*4 prints at ISO above 200. The only thing going for it is it's pocket size and reasonable build quality.

I've had this camera for roughly a month and a half. I've just come back from a trip to Vegas, where I had the chance to give it a really good test in many different lighting conditions. The camera is well built, with it's metal body. The features are...

Despite all of the positive aspects of the camera, the most important one, the image quality, is a significant disappointment ; While images taken during the day are of good quality, images taken in darker circumstances are grainy beyond any acceptable...

Owners Opinion: Pentax Optio M30 (Garry Black, 19 May 07)

A little fast camera with good battery without much professional features, good for a street use (better use with tripod). ISO 64,100,200 gives me enough good quality, but I found the noise even at ISO 64 mode. M30 also may be good for taking shots of...

I picked this up specifically for carrying around in my pocket so I could have a decent camera to catch anything random that I may miss otherwise. It has surprised me in a good way. Highlights for me - compact, fits in my pocket - good price point -...

I have just gotten the pentax optio m30 while shopping for a camera last friday. Had some hands on with various cameras and eventually settled on this. What I really like, the brushed metal construction is real sweet and classy. Highest ISO3200 is...
