Ricoh Caplio RX Review

The Caplio RX is so new that I couldn't find any online retailers selling it! According to Ricoh UK the Caplio RX has a suggested RRP of £219.99 inc. VAT

The Ricoh Caplio RX builds on the strengths of the Ricoh Caplio G4 and G4wide, resulting in a camera that is exceptionally easy to use and which instantly feels "right". The 28-100mm wide lens...

Fine little camera. Very compact, very lightweight. Big pros: 28 mm equiv. wide-angle, very short shutter lag, macro focus down to 1 cm. Optical VF is nice to have, even if it crops heavily in this case. Very long battery life with decent AA...

Flash weak and with small range of adjustment, tends to burn close-up shots and get unnoticeable from 2 m on. Recharge is slow, too ; Not-too-bad blue cast on outdoor shots in overcast weather, can easiliy be overcome by switching WB to "cloudy

At first, camera was OK and easy to use. After a few months, problems began to be numerous on this camera. I do not recommend it.

A gap appears between the two parts of the body ; Supplied bateries leaked and cause connection problems. US$100 on repair, for it is not covered by waranty ; Now, the camera doesn't work anymore, the screen stays black

I'm very happy with this camera I bought for 119 euro's a couple of weeks ago. It's very easy to use and I think the imagequality is very good for a 3MP. What I like the best is the 28 mm wide focus and the fact it's extreme fast for a compact. I can...

What I don't like is the fact that with ISO set to auto, it can be set to as high as 400 ISO with too much noise as a result ; So I set it to 200 ISO manually and then everything looks fine ; and ; white balance set to cloudy gives muddy results. But...

This camera has the following problems ; 1)too much blue when taking out-door ; 2)part of pict turned grey background (s/ware prob) ; 3)common "unmatched file" error..photos gone forever

A very good camera and it's nice photo quality is really out of my expectation. Wide angle lens is clear and sharp. The focus is fast and excellent. The camera itself doesn't eat too many batteries.:-) It's price is comparatively cheaper than...

Best camera I've ever had! It is my fourth digicam, and by far the nicest, despite somewhat lower image quality than my Olympus 750UZ. The autofocus is superb, very fast ingood light and extremely tolerant to low light. On several other points, it is...

Image Capture fails to transfer the AVI files to my Mac. (Probably not the camera's fault, and I can transfer them manually in the Finder.) It is hard to take good photos indoors without using the flash
