Ricoh Announces CX2 Digital Camera

Today Ricoh announces a successor to the highly acclaimed CX1 Digital Camera, the CX2. In tradition with the previous R series and new CX line, Ricoh has wasted no time in coming up with an upgraded model with a few key changes and upgrades. Full of...

Ricoh CX2

After the impressive CX1 model last year, I was optimistic about the new Ricoh CX2. It offers the same body type and long-life battery, but with a few updates as well.

10.7x optical zoom; leveling indicator; battery life

Low-light exposure; mode dial

Image quality is sharp, clean, and with natural color saturation. Contrast, gray balance, and multipattern white balance are excellent but, unlike its predecessor, exposure in lower light situations isn't as accurate under similar conditions (without...

Ricoh CX2 [Digital Camera Review]

Ricoh has a unique way of snaring attention: like the delicate lilac hue of the CX2's top panel, neatly capping the two-tone grey body. Pick it up and you immediately know which is the camera's upper level, with power button, mode dial and zoom lever...

In some ways the CX2 is a surprising camera but by adding a few features (more exposure options — shutter and aperture priority) and RAW capture it could have been an absolute winner. As it is, I figure many of the CX2's attractions, like burst...

Ricoh CX2

Battery indicator is so poor that often camera dies with ; lens extended and without you knowing it to avoid ; Full zoom image is blurred as an impressionist painting ; Dark scenes are poor ; Big overlook by Ricoh company that it does not include ; as...

Really good camera for casual use

Build quality is very good.

Build quality is very good. I bought this camera to replace my Fujifilm 700, which died on me when I was at a Pirates game. This camera cost twice as much as the Fujifilm. I loved my little Fujifilm. Here's the deal. I wanted a compact traveling...

A macro star but a low light dunce

I take retail photos, in the stores the lighting is not all ideal, and this camera is very frustrating...There is a lot of noise when set to high ISO, I am going back to my canon...THAT said, I have not had a camera capture a more amazing macro pic,...
