SL600

For many years now, the trend on this website has been to review the more expensive, cutting-edge cameras. Not only do those cameras capture my interest -- they are what the majority of DCRP readers are curious about, as well. Recently, I was reminded...

Great camera, low price

It's a good solid point-and-shoot for under $100. The pictures look great, it came with a case (which was a huge plus for a clumsy guy like me), and a protective cover to boot (reference clumsiness)

I honestly don't have anything bad to say about it. I bought it to replace a Nikon I broke, but couldn't afford to replace exactly and have never looked back once

Worked for 50 pictures

I got this in May, wasn't able to use it until mid June. It shut off on me after taking ~50 pictures. Sent it in to Samsung, they said it had severe water and shock damage, which is a load of s#!t. It was babied the whole month I had it and never...

SAMSUNG SL600 Black 12.2 MP 2.7" LCD 5X Optical Zoom 27mm Wide Angle Digital Camera

5X zoom, 12.2 MP

I had this camera for about a month and a half, when in the middle of taking pictures, it just quit on me. It shut off, didn't even close up the lense, and it never righted itself. I did not buy this from newegg, but rather got it for my birthday. I...

Mechanical problems within two weeks!

What started as a few pixel voids on the display screen wound up being an entire white line across the entire display. Very disappointed... and this is Samsung!! Go figure.

No audio when zooming

I bought the Samsung SL600 a for the purpose of taking both still photographs and video clips. It seemed like a good deal, as it boasts 15 megapixel zoom and 5x optical zoom. I was shocked when I played back my video of a musical performance, and the...

Bargin price for a good digital camera

I purchased the Samsung SL600 digital camera for my eleven year old daughter's birthday present. My daughter loves the camera and was able to start using it on her own as soon as the battery was fully charged. The first time charging the battery took...

Pros include: reasonable price, many features, ease of use and great battery life

The only con I have experienced would be the diminutive size

Handy Red Camera

The number one fault with this camera is the lack of instructions. Early on it had the tendency to open in the option mode which prevented quick snapshots.

Good Battery Life, Great Resolution, Small / Compact

Complicated Controls, No Viewfinder
