Samsung ST1000 GPS-enabled camera appears in blurrycam shot

We've been waiting for some more compact cameras with integrated GPS features to hit the market, and this blurry shot of an upcoming Samsung ST1000 gives us a little hope. It's actually looking like a pretty hot piece of kit in addition to the...

Samsung ST1000 Review

Camera touch screens are all the go in 2010 as I seem to recall Samsung got in early — and elegantly — with their ST550 camera.

This is a significant camera system and will perfectly suit the global traveler, real estate agents and those who want to geo-tag their pictures and get them back to base quickly.

Samsung ST1000 digital camera review

The Samsung ST1000 has a wealth of features many of which are similar to many other digital cameras available today. It does, however, have a few tricks up its sleeve that are likely to become more and more popular on compact digital cameras in the...

Built-in Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth, picture quality, touchscreen

Slow focusing, menu system a bit more complex than it needs to be

A great camera made even better by the inclusion of GPS and wireless upload to popular photo and video sharing sites

With a touch screen, GPS and Wireless networking, is this what the future looks like?

. That's a lot of money for what is essentially a fairly basic point-and-shoot compact.

For those who like their cameras gadget-laden, it doesn't get much better than this.

GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 3?in touchscreen are amazing at this price. It won't meet the highest expectations but it impressed us cynics.

Samsung ST1000 review

The Samsung ST1000 is what you get when you combine a super-slim camera with the latest wireless-connectivity and touchscreen technology. Samsung's experience in mobile-phone design surely plays a part here. We've seen wireless cameras before, but...

Excellent handling and design ; High-resolution touchscreen interface ; Wireless tech works brilliantly

Needs a wideangle zoom ; Images have an over-processed look

Conclusion As if the Samsung ST1000's ultra-high-resolution touchscreen weren't enough, you also get straightforward and effective bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS features. The ST1000 is technically ambitious, but everything works well. If you're looking for...

Samsung ST1000

Thin and slim, the ST1000 is the first camera to have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS geotagging. We're surprised that it doesn't come with Samsung's recently revealed dual LCD displays, though.

Is this pioneering compact worth the price tag?

Whilst multi-wireless functionality is impressive and a must for gadget lovers; image quality hasn’t advanced enough to warrant the cost. If connectivity isn't as important, there are better compacts on the market.
