Samsung ST80

The Samsung ST80 is a feature packed touchscreen digicam that has a lot to offer for only $250 US. While we did have a few complaints about the camera, overall performed well.

Excellent build quality ; Produces nice 14-megapixel photos ; Acceptable noise levels up to ISO 800 ; Cool Wi-Fi options for direct uploads when connected to a network as well as sharing with compatible devices over the network ; Great bang for your...

Lens starts at 35mm (equivalent), which might cause some headaches when framing indoors ; Uses microSD/SDHC cards, which are VERY easy to lose ; LCD quality not up to par with other 3.0-inch displays ; Coating on the LCD is Very reflective ; Increased...

Samsung ST80

The $249.99 (list) 14.2-megapixel Samsung ST80 makes a compelling case for Wi-Fi in a digital camera. Thanks to its built-in Wi-Fi, you can easily e-mail photos or upload them to your Facebook photo albums when you're near a Wi-Fi hotspot. But the ST80...

Great Image quality. Built-in Wi-Fi. Easy to browse and upload photos to Facebook. Shares videos and images wirelessly with DLNA devices

Lacks optical image stabilization. Resistive touch screen. Doesn't use full display when framing shots. No video uploads to Facebook. YouTube videos are uploaded in sub-standard-definition

If you really need to e-mail or upload photos to Facebook right from your camera, the compact Samsung ST80 might be a good fit for you. But at $250, and despite sharp images, the lack of image stabilization is a big negative.
