Sanyo Xacti VPC-E7

From a stylistic point of view, the Xacti VPC-E7 isn't the most adventurous of compacts but while the design lacks originality, the Sanyo is a handsome handful.

The Xacti E7 is in most respects a fairly average camera, but the shutter response is impressive - and if that's important to your type of photography, then it's worth having.
