Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V (Blue)

Sony's 2011 Cyber-shot lineup has three compact megazooms in it: the high-end HX9V , the low-end H70 , and, snuggled in between, the HX7V. The HX7V is essentially a beefed-up version of the H70, featuring the same lens and body size, but backed by a...

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V is a feature-filled compact megazoom with very good photo and video quality and fast shooting performance.

The HX7V's photos aren't the sharpest, its interface can be sluggish, and there are a couple of minor design issues.

There's very little not to like about the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V, as it solves common snapshot camera issues while still being relatively simple and fun to use.

Sony Cyber-shot HX7V

The Sony Cyber-shot HX7V is a 16.2MP point and shoot camera powered by Sony's signature Exmor R CMOS sensor. The HX7V features a 10x optical zoom lens (25-250mm equivalent). I had the opportunity to handle the HX7V and capture a few images with it...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V Digital Camera

Maxell’s Encore EN-5 offer a rich, full sound for an affordable price, beating out nearly all of the headphones in the test. However, our testers didn’t think they were very comfortable, nor did this pair do a good job staying put during use....

Not Bad

Video features are akward. You can never tell when and if video is being recorded. There is a long delay after pushing the button, if you push it again, it doesn't record anything. Low light shots are awesome. Amazing clarity even at long distances....
