Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P100

Small, stylish, and speedy. Takes crisp pictures. Very good battery life. Rich feature set.

Somewhat tricky menus may confuse newbies at first. Images can show some graininess in shadows.

Sony Cyber Shot DSC-P100

Stylish and small; fast start-up and operation; adjustable flash output; AF illuminator; 30fps, VGA-resolution video and audio capture.

Dim LCD panel is difficult to use outdoors; disappointing image quality.

The P100 is a generally disappointing point-and-shoot with a few good qualities.

Cyber-shot Station: The Perfect Companion

The P100 makes an excellent choice for those wanting an ultra-compact, high- performance camera that produces high-quality 5-megapixel images. That's plenty of resolution to print photo-quality 8x10-inch or larger prints. With it's rugged all-metal body a

Digital Cameras - Sony CyberShot DSC-P100 Digital Camera Review, Information, Specifications

With its small size and well-rounded feature set, the Sony P100 is a good and unusually capable subcompact point-and-shoot digicam. Housed in a very small package is a 5.0-megapixel CCD, a sharp, high-quality 3x optical zoom lens, nine preset Scene...

The P100 has a real-image optical viewfinder and a larger 1.8-inch color LCD monitor for framing shots. As is often the case the P100's optical viewfinder shows only 83-84% of the final image area, but its LCD display is much more accurate, with...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P100

It's a mixed bag. It has quite good image quality, the construction seems solid and has an accurate indicator of battery life. It has a very limited M mode because there are just two apertures to choose from at any focal length, and in fact just one...

No manual WB ; Prone to dust on the sensor (I got cleaned twice at service and cleaned myself with a vaccum cleaner several times) ; Just one aperture so no control of DOF ; Soft images at full zoom (114 mm equivalent) ; A very mild wide angle (38 mm...

Sony Cyber Shot DSC-P100

It's not the best around, and is certainly outdated by now (in comparison to new Sony T or W models), but still a decent camera, maybe for a casual photographer.

Easy to use, good battery life, good video quality

Small LCD, can't zoom in video mode, manual controls somewhat limited

Owners Opinion: Sony DSC-P100 (Valentino 67, 7 Feb 07)

This is a very good, small camera. Fast operations, good image quality and solid construction (I dropped the camera once on concrete and it still works perfectly!).
