Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T7

Tiny and stylish. Good battery life.

Daylight shots were a bit underexposed, and flash shots a bit overexposed.

While the pictures from this fun-to-use camera aren't perfect, they're still quite good, and the T7 definitely scores style points.

Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T7 (silver)

Sleek, sexy design; easy to use; large and clear LCD; solid snapshot feature set; high-quality movie mode.

Weak flash; mediocre image quality; high noise levels above ISO 100.

Snapshot photographers who prefer style over substance may overlook this camera's unimpressive photo quality.

Digital Cameras - Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T7 Digital Camera Review, Information, Specifications

The new Sony DSC-T7 takes "thin" to a whole new level for a sophisticated digital camera design. By far the thinnest Cyber-shot to date, the Sony T7 is noteworthy not only for its amazingly thin profile, but for the range of features and image quality...

Ultra-sleek, tiny form factor, very literally shirt-pocket sized, Rugged build quality, very nice feel to the lens cover in particular, Rich feature set for a subcompact, Better than average lens for a subcompact model, good sharpness in the corners,...

A good lens, but pincushion distortion is higher than average at telephoto focal lengths, Poor low-light performance due to short maximum shutter times, Very weak flash (very common with subcompact cameras), No in-camera battery charging, External port...

Here at IR, we had some differences of experience/opinion with the T7's form factor. Shawn really didn't care for it: His hands were so conditioned to holding conventional cameras that he kept wanting to hold it like a conventional rangefinder, with...

Sony DSC-T7 Ultra Slim Cybershot

A friend ran into my house clutching the Cybershot. What immediately struck me was the slimness of the digital camera. Being a lover of gadgets and gizmos, I immediately insisted on having it in my clutches for at least a day; that would enable me to...

Sony is known for video game consoles, electronics, computers and (recently) defective batteries. They're not authorities on digital cameras, but they have shown in this case that excellence is not bound by categories. They simply outsourced the parts...

Sony Cyber-Shot T7

The amazingly compact Sony Cyber-shot T7 is Sony's thinnest camera to date (And possibly the world's thinnest), measuring only 9.8 mm at its thinnest point. Other exciting features include a large, high-resolution 2.5 inch LCD, great battery life,...

Ultra-thin ; Improved sliding cover ; Extremely fast and almost zero shutter lag ; Large and clear 2.5 inch LCD ; Variety of scene modes ; Excellent movie mode ; USB 2.0 High-speed

No real manual controls ; Weak flash ; Flimsy battery and Memory Stick slot doors ; Red-eye ; Soft photos and blown out highlights ; Barrel distortion ; Various adapters required (Like a tripod adapter)

The Sony Cyber-shot T7 is a stylish and extremely thin camera which turns heads anywhere it goes. You'll find yourself carrying this ultra-compact camera everywhere you go - Something different compared to carrying a few pound dSLR! Photo quality on...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T7

I got this camera as soon as it came out. mostly because of its size and features. The quality is great ONLY if the external conditions are good. Its horrible at night, with no flash or in and movement! too sensible for anything. If is not a bright...

no image stability at all ; poor images at night ; auto balance sucks ; horrible w/o flash indoors

The slow shutter speed meant LOTS of blurry photos that you see when you connect the images onto a computer ; The flash strength is weak, and night shots are impossible... also shots where people are standing too far away ; Picture quality leaves...
