Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 (brown)

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 is roughly the size of a closed flip phone, and its internal 4x zoom lens lets it stay that size even in use. Also, since it sports a touch-screen display with next to no physical controls, it slides into and out of a pants...

Attractive design; useful feature set; fast performance.

Nearly too small; touch screen not for everyone; soft photos.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 is a fun, fast ultracompact, but it's almost too tiny for its own good.

Sony DSC-T77

The T700 model earns extra points as a "photo album in your pocket." It has all the features of the T77 unit plus 4GB of internal memory that can store nearly 1,000 full-resolution or 40,000 VGA-quality photos; a 3.5-inch, wide touch panel Xtra Fine...

Both cameras feature updated intelligent scene recognition technology that can now select up to eight different scene modes, including macro, portrait and landscape modes

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 ($299.99 direct) is a beauty. Its compact design, metallic features, and touch screen make it feel like a luxury item. Aside from color fringing in the corners of images, most users will find the shots they take dazzling....

Great image quality, fast operation, luxurious build, thin. Touch-screen menus are quick and responsive. Tons of in-camera editing options

Strong color fringing. Poor battery performance

Sony's camera delivers on image and construction quality as well as on style. If you can live with the color fringing, this camera is a good deal.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 Review

The Cyber-shot DSC-T77 is Sony's slimmest ever camera, measuring just 13.9mm at its thinnest point. Featuring a metal body, a sliding front plate and folded optics, highlights of the T77 include a 10 megapixel sensor, 35-140mm equivalent 4x zoom lens,...

So if you need a camera that's as unobtrusive as possible, whilst still providing better image quality than your average mobile phone, and aren't put off by mainly touch screen operation, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 is worth investigating

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 Digital Camera - First Shots - The Imaging Resource!

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 is a replacement for last year's DSC-T70 model, and features a higher-res ten megapixel sensor which is coupled to a more powerful Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar branded 4x optical zoom and a roomy 16:9 aspect ratio 3.0" touch...

Large 16:9 widescreen LCD ; Excellent sliding lens cover ; Good lens quality for the subcompact size ; Optical image stabilization ; Usable touchscreen control ; Excellent resolution ; Very good Macro mode ; Excellent digital zoom ; Good with fine...

Playback button doesn't power off camera ; Inconsistent touchscreen icon behavior ; Weak flash ; Moderate chromatic aberration at both ends of the zoom range ; Reds and blues oversaturated ; other colors are undersaturated ; Has a little difficulty...

The Cyber-shot T77 includes Sony's face detection technology, which is capable of detecting eight faces simultaneously, and is linked not only to the camera's autoexposure and autofocus systems as in most similar systems - but also to white balance and...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 Review

In a nutshell: the T77 is the thinnest model, the T700 has a big screen and a fancy 4GB photo album, and the T500 has a more powerful lens plus an HD movie mode

Slim, stylish body (comes in 5 colors) contains a 4X zoom lens ; Optical image stabilization ; Good image quality in ideal conditions ; Widescreen 3-inch touchscreen LCD display ; Good performance in most areas ; Lots of point-and-shoot features;...

Noise reduction smudges details, mottles sky at low ISOs; unimpressive high ISO image quality ; Some corner blurriness ; Redeye a problem ; Design annoyances: sliding lens cover, tiny buttons and zoom controller, inability to remove memory card when...

The Cyber-shot DSC-T77 is stylish, feature-packed, and capable of taking good photos when conditions are ideal. However, it's clunky touchscreen interface, heavy noise reduction, and design annoyances make it just "average" in the ultra-compact class....

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T77 Review at Camera Labs

Ultimately, much of the Cyber-shot T77′s appeal comes down to its slim dimensions and touchscreen. Some will fall in love at first sight (and tap), while others will find it hard to hold and often infuriating to operate.

"Good photos, poor zoom sharpness, broke within the year"

I like the size of camera. Good for on the go. Lacks good zoom for travel photos. Blurry and poor resolution photos. Monitor didn't work within the year and no view finder.

Small and cute. Decent pics. Lots of features.

Pictures aren't too sharp and hard to control blur. Monitor didn't work within the purchase year. No viewfinder.
