Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX10 (Black)

The Cyber-shot DSC-WX10 is somewhat of an oddball camera in the current Cyber-shot lineup. It could almost be an enthusiast compact or at least it's as near to one than any other small Sony point-and-shoot. That's mainly because it has a 7x, f2.4-5.9,...

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX10 has lots of fun and useful shooting modes and fast shooting performance packed into a small body.

The WX10's photos are soft, smeary, and noisy when viewed at full size and its controls may be too small for some users.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX10 has all the right features, but its photos aren't as sharp as the rest of the package.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-WX10 Review

Sony has created an impressive ultra-compact digicam that is blazing fast. The WX10 boasts a vast array of exposure settings and options, whether fully automatic or manual, along with some one of a kind 3D and Panorama type modes. While we did find a...

Metal body is stylish and well built ; Robust shooting performance; including burst mode ; Various 3D modes, including a Tilt mode that gives you a 3D feel by tilting the camera in playback; reminiscent of old baseball cards ; Convenient mode dial and...

High levels of noise at all ISO settings; can be seen indoors and out when pixel peeping ; Zoom takes some practice to get precise framing ; When switching modes, it is slow because it gives you a brief description; only pressing the 'select' button...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX10

With a body measuring about the width and height of a stack of business cards, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX10 point-and-shoot camera ($280 as of May 4, 2011) packs a suprising amount of features into a slight frame. It offers not only (very limited)...

Creative shooting modes and 1080i, 60-fps video ; Ultraportable size with 7X-optical-zoom lens

Small and finicky control buttons ; Images lack sharpness

The ultracompact Cyber-shot WX10 packs a big punch--including a 7X zoom lens, 3D shooting, and smooth 1080i video--into a small package. Image quality could be better, but you'll still find a lot to like.

Although it shoots good-quality photos and videos, they're not amazing; the WX10 doesn't take the sharpest pictures, and its price is a bit high. But if you value genuine put-it-in-your-pocket portability as well as innovative in-camera extras, the...

"Compact alternative to large digital SLR camera."

I wouldn't recommend this model because of the fragile door issue, for the 2 that won't close. Hopefully the next model is more sturdy. I have been satisfied with the quality of pictures as far as compact digital cameras go.

Good quality pictures, especially in low light situations. Very compact.

Difficult to navigate the manual options. I have recommended this camera to several people, and the door for the battery/memory stick on 2 of them has broken and has to be held on by tape, even though there was no abuse. This is poor quality.

"AWESOME!! Great little camera"

Great little value camera, especially if you want a slightly larger zoom without going a travel-zoom. Compliments my SLR well especially when I can't be lugging the big thing around. :)

- Compact

- Slight aberration in bright conditions

Great point and shoot

I used to shoot professionally a few years back. It was hard for me to retire my DSLR. Point and Shoots just don't cut it in either quality or shutter lag (you get really spoiled on the instant shutter of an SLR). Did a ton of research and reading...

Everything! Size, Resolution, Picture Quality, Video Quality, Audio Quality, f2.4!!, Shutter Lag (under .1 seconds)

I don't think I've experienced any in my 6 or so months of ownership
