Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W380 digital camera

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W380 is a compact digital camera which is packed to the brim with features and many intelligent functions. Going by the specs ...

Captures decent images, 720p video recording

Delay when zooming, shaking hands can easily lead to blurred photos

The Sony Cybershot DSC-W380 camera is packed with features and is good in terms of performance but falls short of being exceptional. It also records 720p HD video.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W380 camera review

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W380 is a compact camera that offers a range of features in a pocket-friendly package. Aimed firmly at the point and shoot end of the market, the W380 is amongst the smallest compact cameras out there measuring 91.7 x 51.9mm,...

Simple to use, compact, Sweep Panorama works well

Build quality, image noise, poor quality HD video, no HDMI

The W380 is a camera that can be bettered by many from a performance and build quality point of view, but for those with a limited budget it may appeal, with a few fun features thrown in

Recommended!

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W380

If you want an easy-to-use reliable ultra-compact, the W380 is hard to beat

The Sony Cyber-shot W380 is an excellent little camera, and certainly one of the best ultra-compacts currently available. It is quite expensive, but it offers superior build quality, stylish and efficient design, a good range of features, easy...

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC W380 review

It's getting hard to distinguish between the virtually identical ultra-compact cameras jostling for our attention. Sony's latest has all the obligatory specs: absurdly high-resolution sensor, 5x zoom lens, optical stabilisation, 2.7in screen and Li-ion...

Some promising features including a wide-angle, wide-aperture lens, but the 14-megapixel sensor spoils any chance of high image quality

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W380 review

Technology will only take a camera so far. It also has to look, feel and handle right, and it's in those areas that the Cyber-shot DSC-W380 really shows its quality. Other cameras might give you more to talk about, but not many offer this kind of...

Crisp, clean and colourful images ; Excellent design, finish and build quality ; Fast autofocus and face-detection feature

Navigating the menus is a fairly slow experience ; sweep panorama' takes photos at a reduced resolution

While the menu system is simple, navigating it is a rather slow process. It's activated by a menu button that's microscopically small too. If you have the thumbs of a seven-year-old waif, you should be okay though

Sony Cybershot DSC-W380

The compact Cybershot DSC-W380 from Sony offers many useful features at affordable price but it captures rather ordinary images.

24-mm wide angle lens ; 720p HD video recording ; Sweep Panorama ; Good build quality ; Compact design

Slow response to overall operation ; Rather ordinary image quality ; Average HD video

The DSC W380 camera priced at Rs. 14,990 is packed with features and is good in terms of performance but falls short of being exceptional.

Another unique thing about the Sony cyber shot w380 is that it is not complicated in terms of usage. Even those that haven not used it before will like it since it has easy instructions that are easy to grasp. This model is particularly ideal for...

Wow, at last i got a review on this camera. On every site they have given only the technical details. By the way nice review, can you provide more details in photographers point of view – I mean picture modes, ISO settings, shutter speeds, zoom,...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W380, looks better than it is

A solid set of features at an attractive price, but the mismatched lens and sensor result in poor-quality photos

The W380 looks appealing, both on paper and in the flesh, but the quality of its photos are considerably less attractive. As a result, it lags some way behind the front-runners this month.

Sony DSC W380

There is a lot to like about the Cybershot DSC W380. It takes decent photos, is quite straightforward and has a good range of features. I think it is priced about right and is an attractive option.

Picture quality - High Definition movies - Handy Size

There is nothing that stands out
