I own a fleet of Canon AE-1 Programs with enough lenses to start my own store, but for just plain fun and quick shots, it would be tough to beat the FD-90. It has a decent lens and for what I paid for it new, I'm satisfied with the resolution and the ease...
Problems? I got a lot of service from the camera, but when it died, it died. The floppy drive shows "error" so the camera is useless. Sony has a "one-time-all-service" charge of $177.00 for repairs. Is it worth it? I don't think so ; Regarding the Sony FD...
hello, we have been using this camera for over more then a year now, and shot over 10,000 pictures with it. it's not high in resolution, but the picture-quality isn't all that bad. we make pictures on outdoor locations, for a kind of fetish-fashion style....
it's a pain in the ass downloading the pictures, really takes a lot of time. ( 30 seconds a floppy = 5 pictures ) now you know how much time we have spent getting all those pictures on pc ; -)) ; whitebalance not always accurate ; indoor shots very poor
I've taken over 15,000 hi-res photos with this camera and it was broken in my carry on luggage on the airplane! It has suburb imaging of the top 15% of the tonal range and great zoom and macro. The flash extended to 20 feet and when I needed a fill flash...
