D-Link Wireless Photo Frame (DSM-210)

Since the big trend in digital photo frames is wireless connectivity, I'm not surprised to see networking giant D-Link enter the photo-frame fray. The $244.99 (direct) D-Link Wireless Photo Frame (DSM-210) is a solid first entry into the market. The...

Wi-Fi, wired Ethernet connectivity. Wall mountable. Large, sharp, bright antiglare display

Outer frame detracts from appearance. Touch controls seldom work and can be difficult to see through the mat surround

You'll enjoy the large, high-quality display of the D-Link Wireless Photo Frame (DSM-210), but of the mats for the frame's surround suffer from poor design that gets in the way of usability.

D-Link DSM-210 10-inch Wireless Internet Photo Frame

This wireless photo frame makes it simple to stream pictures and Internet content. We just wish it were more attractive.

Touch-sensitive multimedia controls ; Intuitive UI on the frame and online ; Frame updates quickly ; 1GB internal memory

Unattractive design ; Photos look bland ; No music playback ; Pricey

Among the wireless frames we’ve seen that serve up Internet content, D-Link’s DSM-210 10-inch Wireless Internet Photo Frame has one of the most intuitive interfaces. But the photos look dull, particularly compared with the Kodak EasyShare EX1011, which...

Review: D-Link DSM-210 digital picture frame

The DSM-210 has some good features, but a lot of compromises are made within those features. If all you want to do is simply display pictures, you should be able to find a 10-inch frame at a more affordable price.

Motion detector ; Includes Wi-Fi ; Downloads from RSS feeds, Facebook, Flickr, and more

No image adjustment controls ; Software is Windows only ; Limited slide-interval adjustments ; Can't handle nested folders ; Can handle only one Internet content stream at a time

Once the images were loaded, the displayed pictures had a slightly desaturated look with a cool cast. The screen is bright and can be viewed from different angles without losing image visibility, but no brightness or contrast controls are available....

D-Link DSM-210 Photo Frame

While there are many homes that have digital photo frames, not many of them own a piece of technology that can get information off of the internet. The D-Link DSM-210 takes the concept of a digital photo frame and expands its use for everyday...

The D-Link DSM-210 is an excellent addition to D-Link's home media line-up. It can easily grab photographic content from any internal network as well as grab information off of the internet to expand its use in the digital home. »Checking the latest...

D-Link Wireless Internet Photo Frame (DSM-210) Review and Ratings

If you're looking for a photo frame that's more than just a pretty picture, look no further than the D-Link DSM-210.

Great feature set ; Nice display ; Easy-to-use interface ; FrameChannel integration is seamless

Wide-screen aspect ratio is an odd choice for photo viewing ; Interface could do a better job of providing error messages and status to users ; Intermittent UPnP connectivity issues

Review: D-Link DSM-210 10″ Internet Photo Frame

There's a lot to like about the D-Link DSM-210. Whether it's the large 10” display, wireless and Ethernet connections, or the eco-friendly auto shutoff feature, for an MSRP of '50, the DSM-210 should be on any short-list of high-end digital picture...

Wireless and wired Internet connectivity ; Eco-friendly – shuts off after 15 minutes in an empty room ; Continual improvements via firmware updates

No good way to transfer more than one image at a time to the frame ; Screen is average

There’s a lot to like about the D-Link DSM-210, maybe more in a few weeks. D-Link’s commitment to continual firmware upgrades shows us that they know the frame had faults out of the box and they're working to address these issues. The combination of...

Lightning Review: D-Link DSM-210 Wireless Internet Photo Frame

The Gadget: D-Link's entrance into the 10-inch photo frame market, which contains Wi-Fi to download and display pics from your Flickr, MobileMe, MSN, PIcasa, webshots, Facebook, and various other photo sharing accounts, or your local network. There's...

The 10-inch display is roomy, but its 800x480 resolution looks somewhat pixelated when you get up close. Loading photos from its internal memory and USB slot (or SD slot) works just as well as you'd expect, which is nice. However, 1GB of built-in...
