HP DF1200A1 12.1" 800 x 600 Digital Photo Frame

Bought this as a gift for my low-tech-understanding grandmother - perfect! Being able to plug in an sd card with minimal setup makes this perfect for something I'll be maintaining infrequently.

Simple, easy setup and installation of photos! The controls are rather easy to understand and you can use the remote or the controls on the frame (if you lose remotes as easily as I do.) The pictures look nice and are quite vivid

Would be nice to be able to control the speed of the slideshow. Then again, this could just be a feature I didn't find - I only fiddled with it for about ten minutes on initial setup

Just beautiful

It's a pretty basic digital photo frame. Feature wise it's Doesn't bother me though because a 12" at this price is a steal. I don't agree that this frame is bad simply because of it's supposedly low 800x600 resolution. It's just like saying a 60"...

Horrible

This may say HP on it, but it's no better than all the other cheap Chinese-made knockoff brands. As a matter of fact, that's what this frame is, it's just rebranded as HP. It's junk, stay away.

High Pitched Noise

The high-pitched squeal is a DEAL BREAKER. I'm sending it back and buying a different brand.

cheap, large screen

no hole in the back to hang up on the wall. One dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. And it went dead after one night on. I tested the power adapter and it's good. So the unit is dead on me

nice materials in the frame

This 12" picture frame only has a resolution of 800 x 600, which is REALLY BAD for a picture frame this size. You would need at least 1280 x 960 to get the same quality as 800 x 600 on a 7" image ; You can see why when you calculate the pixel density....

No Random

I have the 10.4" version of this frame and it's the only digital picture that I've counter that does NOT offer a random feature. Which means all your pictures is displayed in the same boring order. I can not believe a company like HP would put its...
