Using marketing phrases such as "Social Media Hub" and "Web-Connected Screen," HP doesn't want you to think of its DreamScreen 100 ($249.99 direct) as just another digital photo frame. Built-in applications include Pandora Internet radio, a primitive ...
Sexy design. Good image quality. Intuitive user interface. Simple network configuration
Pricey. UI is very sluggish. Limited video playback support. Computer-to-frame networking software does not support Macs
Despite a sometimes-painfully-slow interface and some less-than-useful applications, the good-looking, well-connected HP DreamScreen 100 digital photo frame does a nice job of displaying photos and videos.

Every once in a while, we see a device with one feature that makes it stand out from the pack. The IPEVO Kaleido R7 Wireless Digital Frame is one such device. The Kaleido R7's sharp display, which can rotate 90 degrees, shows full-screen images in ...
Easy configuration. Rotatable display. Sharp, bright images. Good viewing angle in landscape mode
Expensive. No storage for the remote. Wall wart instead of inline power adapter. Portrait mode viewing-angle problems
A sleek glossy housing makes the IPEVO Kaleido R7 an attractive digital photo frame, but its unique rotatable display isn't enough to justify the high price.

Pandigital's 8-inch PanTouch Digital Photo Frame has terrific color accuracy and offers adjustment controls for brightness, contrast, tint, and color-perfect for serious photography enthusiasts. Color is more accurate than in the too-punchy Kodak ...
Excellent color accuracy and fine-tuning options (brightness, contrast, tint, and color). Touch-screen controls. Compatible with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth USB adapters. Can use Wi-Fi adapter to connect to Google's Picasa Web Albums and download photos.
IR blaster is visible. Logging into Picasa Web Albums via Wi-Fi takes a few minutes. Image colors change depending on viewing angle.
This frame's LCD has rich colors and lots of image adjustments for the pros. It gives the highly rated Sony DPF-V900 9 a run for the money.

At $80 street, this 7-inch digital photo frame sounds like a steal. It displays images and videos in widescreen format, integrates small speakers to play MP3s, and is even smart enough to automatically rotate pics when you switch the orientation from ...
Very inexpensive. Interchangeable faceplate patterns.
Poor image quality. Cumbersome menu system. Blatantly visible IR receiver is an eyesore. Poorly placed USB port.
This frame's 480-by-234-pixel screen resolution is the kiss of death. It makes images appear boxy, jagged, and pixelated.

Wireless photo sharing is nice, but this frame's performance doesn't justify its price.
Great photo quality. 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi connectivity. Displays images from Flickr, Microsoft Live Spaces, and Webshots online photo services. 256MB internal memory. Video and MP3 playback. Clock. Remote control
Expensive. Interface could be better. Sluggish response. Lengthy boot-up time. No file-folder structure
This pricey frame can wirelessly display pics from your PC and online photo-sharing accounts, but with sluggish response and a confusing interface, there are plenty of better, lower-priced options.
