Great Christmas Gift

I bought several of theses, one for us, and one for each of my step-children and my Mom. They all love it. It's easy to load and looks great on my end table.

Do not buy!

I got this frame for Christmas from my mom. It has the worst image quality that I've ever seen! Very grainy and dark. Tried using the Smartparts software to improve them as well as a couple other software products to "brighten" them up... still were...

Not great.

There's no way to hang this on a wall and it has a huge, unattractive cord. There's no option to put batteries in it. You can't see images at all if you're standing at certain angles or if there's a glare. I should've spent more and gotten a better one!

Bad Design

Can't comment on the quality. As soon as I opened it and inserted the USB Drive, it wouldn't stand up. The design has the drive inserted into the bottom of the frame. Frame will fall over once the drive is in. I should have read one of the previous...

I almost sent this back (and may still have to) because the first time I switched it on it failed to come on. I think mine may have a faulty switch since it often needs two or three flips of the switch before it comes on. Once I get it on, it works...

The 8.5-inch digital picture frame by SmartParts shows-off your pictures with the same crisp quality of high-quality prints. Displaying pictures in the digital frame takes three easy steps: simply remove the memory card (not included) from your camera, insert the card into the frame, and view your photos. Normal view: pictures fit on the display screen without any stretching or cropping. Crop View: pictures will be enlarged to fill the screen without stretching them. This digital photo frame is compatible with JPEG files. OptiPix Pro (included) is designed to help you find, optimize and transfer pictures to your frame. You can store up to 2,000 pictures (depending on resolution settings) to your frame using OptiPix Pro. The software's installation file is preloaded on the frame.
