Toshiba DMF82XKU 8" Digital Media Frame

Yes, the DMF82XKU 8" Digital Media Frame is expensive, but its well-executed Web-connected features help to justify its $179.99 (list) price and make it our latest Editors' Choice digital photo frame. Toshiba pairs Wi-Fi with FrameChannel, a...

Elegant design. Simple image transfer via e-mail or Internet. Excellent Web integration. Supports video playback

The Toshiba DMF82XKU 8" Digital Media Frame does much more than just display your photos; it pairs an elegant design with the ability to add images wirelessly and stream a variety of Web content. But at $180, it may be a bit too pricey for some.

Toshiba DMF82XKU Review

Wireless content streaming ; Attractive design

Cryptic menu icons ; Interface can be sluggish

The DMF82XKU offers the some useful wireless features, but the user interface is frustrating and unintuitive.

Review: Toshiba DMF82XKU 8″ Digital Media Frame

Digital photo frames aren't just for viewing photos anymore. Today many of the digital frames we see are “digital media frames” designed to view photos, video, play music, or even access content over the Internet. This is exactly what the new 8-inch...

Beautiful 8” widescreen display ; Attractive frame enclosure

Too difficult to setup Wi-FI features and make them work ; Limited image orientation support ; Overpriced if you can’t make the additional features work

The Toshiba DMF82XKU is another digital media frame that looks fantastic on paper but simply doesn’t deliver on the promise of all the advertised specs. To put it mildly, if I spent the full retail price of $180 to purchase this frame then I’d be...

Be aware of limitations

Be aware of limitations

The first limitation I found is the size of the pictures, be aware that you'll have problems if your pictures are 2MB or bigger. In my case I like taking pictures with the highest resolution that my camera allows, and that's sometimes just above 2MB...

Toshiba Digital Frame A Look Back in Time

This is a very cool picture frame. I bought it for my parents to view pictures of family here and abroad. It was easy to setup and I was able to setup the online file sharing so family can post pictures from different cities. It has weather reports and...

Excellent product

This is an excellent frame. With Framechannel, all I have to do is email photos to my account and they show up on my frame. Very easy to use and works great. It also is an excellent for the grandparents.

Can't delete...Just a piece of Junk

OK it is simple until you have an issue. Won't show some of the JPG files (saying not supported) then shows others. I double checked the files....all are the same format. Go to mode and it shows which are working and which are not. But, it doesn't...

Excellent, but perhaps a bit overpriced at $124.

I've been using this wireless digital picture frame for 3 days. Setup was easy. So far I have only run it using framechannel to display my pictures, the weather, and the calendar. Nothing else thus far although there do seem to be many choices - I...

Very cool once you get it working. Not simple to configure.

Very cool once you get it working. Not simple to configure.

The 'buttons' on the right (if you call them that) are a bit difficult to use and definitely take some getting used to. Because of that, it takes much longer to configure things like wireless settings, etc than it should. If the controls were...

not as good as you would think

I don't typically do reviews because most aspects are covered somewhere in existing reviews. However, this had glowing reviews all around and warranted a reality check. Does not connect to the internet via wireless very well at all (this was the only...
