Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi / EOS 400D

The 6-megapixel Canon EOS Digital Rebel came on the scene in late 2003 and instantly established a new category of "affordable digital SLR cameras" with a price of under $1000, including a zoom lens. It was succeeded in 2005 by the 8-megapixel Digital...

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi SLR

The third generation Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi SLR takes everything found in its predecessors and improves the resolution to 10.1-megapixels, provides a more responsive 9-point AF system, adds a large 2 1/2-inch LCD monitor, and incorporates the...

The Digital Rebel XTi may be an "entry-level" camera but it's quite the performer thanks to the powerful DIGIC II image processor it shares with the Rebel XT and 30D, providing high-precision and high speed, natural color reproduction including...

EOS Rebel XTi

The Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi is an update of the Rebel XT with a 10.1-megapixel sensor, a dust removal system and a 2.5-inch 230,000-pixel LCD, along with a number of other improvements. At a list price of $699.99 with an 18-55mm kit lens, or...

10 megapixels for $600 ; Excellent LCD ; Display Off" sensor ; Very accurate color reproduction ; Good dynamic range ; Effective grip surface - Strong low light performance ; Dust reduction system

Flimsy construction- No spot meter ; Only one control dial ; Kit lens is cheap, limited maximum aperture ; Poor environmental seals ; Viewfinder magnification is low

Plenty of users will enjoy the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. In automatic modes, it's easy to use, and snapshooters will be pleased with its quality. If they don't make enlargements, though, users won't see a difference between shots from the...

EOS Rebel XTI Black SLR Digital Camera Kit

The new Digital Rebel XTi, a descendant of the Digital Rebel XT, resembles its predecessor in many ways, but offers a 10.1-megapixel sensor, a larger LCD screen, and a smattering of new features. Subtle molding changes in the Xti's body arguably make a...

Canon Digital Rebel XTi

Call this the season of the 10-megapixel digital single lens reflex camera. By the time Santa appears in the Thanksgiving Day parade, enthusiasts will have four 10MP D-SLRs to choose from. In this quartet are the Sony alpha DSLR-A100, the Nikon D80,...

10MP D-SLR; fast response; excellent photos

So-so battery life; kit lens doesn't do camera justice

I have to admit that I really enjoyed shooting with the Rebel XTi. Even though the grip is smaller than the Sony, it felt right.

Highly Recommended!

Canon EOS 400D / Digital Rebel XTi

Almost exactly three years since Canon changed the digital SLR market forever (with the $1,000 EOS 300D) they announced the third generation of their affordable entry level series, the EOS 400D (Digital Rebel XTi). This new camera follows the design of...

Kit lens disappointing, better to buy body only and spend more on a good lens, Sporadic continuous shooting once buffer is full, Occasional under-exposure issue with Evaluative metering, Average automatic white balance performance, still very poor...

Canon changed the entire digital camera market when they revealed the EOS 300D.

Digital Cameras: Canon Rebel XTi

Very good performance. Dust prevention system. Inexpensive for a D-SLR. Excellent image quality. Lots of information displayed on LCD. Light weight.

Slight color cast in daylight test images. Kit lens is mediocre.

The advanced Canon Rebel XTi is a sophisticated 10MP D-SLR that gives plenty of photo prowess for your money.
