This is a great DSLR camera to begin with, having all the necessary features to take great pics. The picture quality is pretty nice in all settings, except at ISO 800+ where the picture quality gets a bit cloudy. Other than that, it\'s a great camera...

This is my first SLR & i really do love it! The image quality is much better than my other camera (The T90), & the auto focus is unbelievably fast. The viewfinder is pretty good (It could be a little larger) & the viewfinder sometimes is blurry even...

Great camera for those getting into DSLR photograpy from a point and click type

It is exactly what I ordered. The camera is light and easy to use...just what I need for a beginner. Practically every screen tells you how to use that particular function.

I bought the new Sony A290 as a gift. Package arrived ahead of its scheduled date. I wish I had reviewed the camera specs more before I pulled the trigger on this. The A290 is the cheapest DSLR you can find, bottom line.

I did not like this camera. I own an A55 and I love it. I purchased this camera as a gift because I thought it was a similar product. The cameras have very little in common. The A290L does take decent pictures but it is very slow and a little difficult...
