55mm Kit lens is very impressive with a great range 18-70 LIVE VIEW is a great feature and the LCD tilts making low angles and over crowd shots possible, out doing competitor SLRs like XTi and D40. Nice not too entry level yet not expensive like a pro...

Low lighting shooting in auto setting isn't that great but if you know what you are doing as far as f-stop and aperture then you can easily get around this

Sony Alpha DSLR-A300

The qlty image is similar to budget dsrl in market. If you want a good result you must use good software. Af speed is similar to other brands in same price. Good battery and shotting mode.

The body is very difficult to easy operate and viewfinder is similar a 4/3 budget ; camera plastic costruction, very little ; Body is not balanced well if you use lens over the kit ; Live view is darkness in more situation and impraticable. 16:9 format...

Sony Alpha DSLR-A300

Buffer is larger than 6 RAW. With fast CF - till 12. AF is not bad, not hunting in low light, LV is usefu, but slow. Very modest features. It's hard to say that this camera is very good for low-end DSLR.

Very noisy at ISO400 in shadows and above ISO400

GREAT CAMERA!!

This is the one to purchase. Great for first time D SLR or for a person with more experience

Easy to use. Good picture quality, wonderful action shots! Reasonably priced. Bought the camera an extra lens 75-300mm. For the price i would have paid for just the cannon sxi. Live view on all settings which did not slow down speed

The weight of it a bit heavy
