Works great!

This works great with my older plasma tv and the RCA flat antenna. I like the guide and some of the other features. It's small so it is unobtrusive beneath my tv. Set up was a breeze. I would recommend this item.

Works just as described!

Our home is 110 miles from any town larger than 12,000 people and 100 miles from a transmitter so I really did not expect much for a signal. And I could not get a signal at all. However, I bought this to use at grandma\'s and she lives over 40 miles...

While the box works great when connected directly to the TV, it is NOT compatible with TiVo. The folks at TiVo only have a certain number of brands programmed in to TiVo, itself, and they had no clue how to make TiVo work with this COBY product. The...

Works Great

For the price, you can\'t beat this converter box. I purchased the RCA ANT1450B indoor antenna and they work great together - execeeded my expectations. I purchased two of each; one for the front of the house and one for the back - no problems at all!...

Great Product, Bad Remote

This converter box works really well. It has a signal strength meter which is really cool, so you can actually see the signal strength increase/decrease as you move the antenna. The on screen menus and guides are set up very well. The box is absolutely...

Product Specifications

At midnight on June 12, 2009, all full-power television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting in analog and switch to 100% digital broadcasting. Digital broadcasting provides a clearer picture and more channels. It will also free up airwaves for use by emergency responders, among additional communication features that may develop. Analog television sets receiving free TV using an antenna will not work after June 12, 2009. Television viewers with these sets that are not connected to a pay TV service need to take action now. Most consumers who purchase a converter box today can connect it to their existing television and begin enjoying the benefits of digital television immediately. Broadcasters are transitioning to digital to provide important benefits to consumers. Because digital broadcasting is more efficient, broadcasters require less of the airwaves to provide a better television viewing experience. Once the DTV transition is completed, some television channels will be turned over to fire and police departments for emergency communication and others are being auctioned to companies to provide new wireless services. A TV converter box is a new product that plugs into your analog TV and, along with your antenna, will keep your analog set working after June 12, 2009. A TV converter box is a one-time purchase per applicable TV screen. You will need to take action before June 12, 2009, if you currently watch TV on an analog TV set that is not connected to cable, satellite or other pay TV service. If you own a television with a digital tuner or subscribe to a pay TV service, you will not need a converter box.
