Oh, I miss DirecTV's Tivo features

 

DirecTV needs to improve the usability and speed of its DVRs.

It is high def and the quality is much better than cable

The software is no match for Tivo. I started with DirecTV because of the Tivo service the company offered on its DVRs. Now Tivo and DirecTV have parted ways. As of 2009, the DirecTV created DVR is still no match for Tivo

Does the job its meant to do

 

I have one of these in my place of residence and plan to buy another. I have a large LCD television and this unit is easy to use and is pretty reliable. I would recommend this unit.

This unit does the job its built for. It records HD content and does it pretty well. The AV quality looks great (but I am no expert)

The unit on the occasion will freeze up and needs to be restarted
