Best HD DVR Receiver DTV Has
As I write this, this is DirecTVs top of the line receiver.
Good HD video and audio output. Lots of hard drive space. Ethernet connection for on-demand content and remote management to remotely configure DVR content (and has iphone app)
Menuing system is slower than I would like. Would like it to have wifi on-board. (who wants cables?) Could always use more hard drive space. Would like 1080p output, but that's more of a broadcast issue rather than a receiver issue

Excellent product, shipped fast and was a new unit. The DVR software is amazing compared to the comcast/time warner software. Included HDMI cable and RF remote are also huge bonuses. Only downside is HR23 has no coaxial line out to feed an extra TV from t...

I just had one of these installed as an upgrade from the regular R22 non-HD DVR. I found out during the process that there is now a software update for the old non-HD DVR that allows them to receive HD signals and that there is no other difference between...
