able to record live tv. large memory, able to record football games and view them close to hd. the upscaling gives a close to hd picture.

This recorder replaced a DVD/VCR machine which died. It does a very good job of recording TV to watch later. We use an old fashioned antenna to get the TV signal. It is very easy to use and the quality of the recordings is very good.
