Panasonic DMP-BDT330 review

This slick Blu-ray deck claims Ultra HD status by upscaling Blu-ray to 4K, but is it worth your cash? Read on for our Panasonic DMP-BDT330 review

Vibtrant color and detail ; Flashy menu system ; SD card slot for photos

Convoluted GUI ; Netflix button replace ; USB ports won't read HDD

4K scaling and an SD card slot set the Panasonic DMP-BDT330 apart from its peers in terms of functionality, while the additional HDMI and USB ports are also a welcome surprise at this price point.

Panasonic DMP-BDT330 review

Panasonic crams 4K-upscaling and other goodies into its Blu-ray player. But is the DMP-BDT330 worth a tidy price? Why yes, yes it is

Excellent picture and sound Nice design Plenty of connections 4K upscaling

Could do with more smart content Menu system could be simpler

Interface and smart content could do with a bit of work, but for picture and sound this is a cracking Blu-ray disc-spinner

Panasonic DMP-BDT330

The DMP-BDT330 continues Panasonic's tradition of providing the best Australian DVD/Blu-ray performance from the big brands, while adding interesting network features.

Blu-ray and DVD picture performance as good as it gets ; Two HDMI outputs for support of older equipment ; Excellent USB audio handling ; Respectable start-up speeds

Silly defaults on picture and audio output ; Lacks computer keyboard interface available with some other brands ; Physical design doesn't lend itself to USB usage

When it comes down to it, all of that extra stuff is nice, but the main job of a Blu-ray player is to deliver high-quality video from DVDs and Blu-ray discs. There are very few players that can do as good a job on Australian discs as the Panasonic...

Great 3D player

I was looking for a 3D player that included dual HDMI outputs but did not want to pay a fortune for one. This player is not perfect but has the features I needed at a very reasonable price. It is an ideal midterm solution for someone like me with older...

Great player

This blu ray player replaced one that cost twice as much and it's much better than the first one. It loads quickly and displays a beautiful picture. It also has dual hdmi outputs which I really needed.

Great except for one thing

I love the look and easy of set up of this unit but one thing is making me return it. It has the soap opera smoothing effect and no way to turn it off according to Panasonic support. I turned the feature off on my TV but any dvd I watch or any online...

Most excellent blue ray player

This player has it all! I haven't been able to use all the features offered but so far I'm loving it! Since you can read all the great features in the listing I'll talk about what I don't like since that's what I look for in a review. I frequently,...
