Low price. Low quality. Low respect.

Q-See products are mostly - if not all - are made in China. And that should say it all: unreliable and poor quality. The company is too rush in making money putting its own reputation at risk. The cameras usually last about 10 months, depending on the...

Relative inexpensive at first glance

Low quality products. Incompetent and sluggish customer service

works great!

Easy to install, ran the 60 foot cables through the house, then got 4 great looking images first try. next step was to get it on my network, piece of cake. viewing over the net with a public IP was a bit tricky, but got it working NP. the DDNS was a...

Ease of install, price. First thing I did was connect ONE camera to the dvr to power up and test the system, instantly got an image so I proceeded to install the 4 cams

Software is weak. Id like to see several more configurable levels user users. One user and one admin doesnt cut it. And you cant even give-deny access to any of the features to the user level

Adding to disapointment

spend a little more and get a better system. I am selling this one. I would not recommend this product.

Tech support was helpful

the software is crap, no updates and on other net viewer software will work with it. cameras are very low quality. a deal this was not

not worth of your money

You will totally regret this product. I'm a tech-gadget kinda guy and this is a real tragedy. I will say is over and over again.

a lot of cameras to choose from

fragile hardware, no support, expensive and no standard

Don't waste you're time...

I've had this thing for over a year now and have been pretty disappointed from the beginning. I saw it at costco but then contacted q-see and got a much better price. The only cool thing is the internet viewing but lately it has been freezing up which...

cheap and cool internet feature

flaky at best

Lacking in support, poor AC adapter

We bought two of these from Costco for our church. After 1 year the AC Adapter will break. Newtviewer is a poor quality Internet Monitoring tool. No API or web interface available. Hard drive chassis seems to come loose easily. And the worst is the...

Main features work

Poor quality DVR

Complete Garbage & Waste of Your Time

Where to start? I purchased this from Costco 1/8/2007. It sat in a box for 6 months because I was busy getting married, honeymoon, work - little stuff you know. When I finally got around to installing it on 23-25 November 2007 quite some time had...

Learn what NOT to buy for CCT/monitoring systems

Everything; your time setting it up, trying to read the 1/2 engrish directions, finding out the equipment is faulty

Consumer review by:

Poor quality product and no tech support

Poor quality product with frequent lock-ups. 3 months into it completely frozen. Tech support from Q-See is no where to be found. After 15 mins on hold they transfer you to voice mail and do not call back. No response from email or online web forms...

Great concept

Does not work

DVR works well, remote viewing software needs some help

Some notes: 1. I have no previous experience with monitoring/surveillance DVRs, so I'm a newbie in this area. That said, I researched a system that would rely on IP-based cameras and PC, and determined that it would cost more than I wanted to spend....

Unit works well for my needs

DVR is noisy, software for remote viewing doesn't seem to fully work
