Piece of junk

Multiple problems even with the firmware patch installed. Pixalated image, lockups, severe skips, and more. Sometimes the recording won't playback at all (and I'm talking about playing a DVD on the machine it was recorded on). Sometimes, for lack of...

Sometimes I get lucky and it works

Each recording is a roll of the dice. I start each recording with the words "I hope it works this time

Good DVD recorder with VHS dubbing /recording

This dual recorder / player does it all, but some users need to clearly be aware of only using lower speed discs ie; 2X , 4X and 8X work best. The highter DVD blank discs are for computer burners, not Stand Alone DVD recorders. This particular unit...

This/ is a good (over all) DVD / VHS dual recorder and player. Clear, Crisp reproductions which are then up-converted via HDMI or Component outputs. Manual address the newer DVD recorders now complying w/ copyright for even your cable or SAT box

Must be connected to cable box or SAT

Useless Item

Don't buy this product if you need to record TV programs, for some stupid reason it keeps saying you're trying to record a protected movie and doesn't let you even try the recording feature to find out if it works. Useless, I'd give it away.

The only thing I liked was that I didn't pay over $100 to get it, but there was another one cheaper which I feel sorry I didn't get

The product is the worst thing I've seen with capacity of doing something and regrets to do so

Total waste of money if you buy one.

I wanted to copy old VHS to DVD, so this model sounded like a deal. The set-up is OK, but when you want to copy a VHS tape, it doesn't. When you attempt to play a home-made DVD, it locks up. The picture freezes, and you cannot eject the DVD. After its...

When it works, it plays OK

Complicated instructions. Does not play home-made DVDs

Really nice product

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to back up their old vhs tapes. I don't care about it not having a tuner since I already have a dish dvr.

I love the upconvert on this combo. It really works well with my hdtv. Very easy to record from vhs to dvd. I absolutely love it

The remote sometimes won't respond
