Sony RDR-HXD760

For AU$999, the RDR HXD760's 160GB hard drive, DVD recording capabilities and built-in digital tuner looks to be a winning proposition.

is a piece of junk! always locking up when playing DVD's cant save music from CDs or dub from video movies on line 1 input. overheats and locks up,

locks up, very slow, overheats, cant dub from old videos onto DVD, needs two tuners, I can very rarely watch a whole DVD with out it locking up and requiring a re-boot. waste of money!

I've had this unit for about 6 months. It does everything I want it to. SD Tuner is fine and gives a great picture on my "normal" TV.

HDD & DVD, quiet operation. Looks good

Slow to start up after it has been powered off. Doesn't recognise some of my DivX DVD's

I love it. Its easy to use and for the price does everything and alot more for what I need.

Recording capabilities. You can record straight from your video camera to hard drive then edit and put it to DVD. Great for the family fun times

Ours makes a drone noise when not in use. Not sure if it is common or just a problem with ours

I recently purchased a Sony RDRHXD760.

Good to have DVD, PVR and SD set top box in one unit

Would of been better with a second SD tuner

I have the RDR-HXD760 and I get the C13 error (HDD) problem after the unit is power on for a prolonged period of time (incl. standby). I cannot record unless I unplug AC power and retune the stations. It is very annoying and not worth the money.
