This product is just plain bad. It is not worth the money. I had this product for 7mos and it has been nothing but truoble. When I first got it there were problems from the start, so I sent it in for repair and sony replaced it another one which I am...

Size and looks, the design is sleek and more compact than some similar products

Not at all reliable, can be dificult to set up even with a sony pc, there is a horrible delay with the remote controls, menus are not good for music because sorting options are very limited

Sony VGP-MR100U - TVersity

Good product that can work also without a Sony PC. On regular PC you can use TVersity stream software instead of Sony Media software. It can stream almost any type of files.

Sony always makes nice remotes but you need to have a sony-brand PC to install updates and access full-functionality. Can't play Microsoft media center recorded television shows unless you use a Sony PC. Can't even install bug-fixes or new firmware...
