This is an okay machine.

Examples of quirks: To get to finalize a DVD I have to go through about 4 menus, scrolling down at each of them, which is a pain. I had to figure this out myself because "how to finalize" isn't included in the manual. Often to access the first menu ......

It makes pretty good copies of VHS tapes and is compatible with a lot of different formats of DVDs

It has a lot of little quirks

DVD Minus, Not Plus, Not Dual-Layer

DVD Minus, Not Plus, Not Dual-Layer

Records DVD-R and DVD-RW Media only. Does not Record onto DVD+R or DVD+R DL. Otherwise, the dubbing process is straightforward and simple. Internal Tuner works, but you may not need one if you are converting old (non-copyright) VHS to DVD. \n \n
