This is an okay machine.

Examples of quirks: To get to finalize a DVD I have to go through about 4 menus, scrolling down at each of them, which is a pain. I had to figure this out myself because "how to finalize" isn't included in the manual. Often to access the first menu ......

It makes pretty good copies of VHS tapes and is compatible with a lot of different formats of DVDs

It has a lot of little quirks

Good video signal. Beginning a DVD recording was easy.

Finalizing discs is a chore. Slow/no response at times. Mildly confusing remote.
