Don't waste your money.

I got this under the impression that Toshiba was a quality brand name. I know better now. This thing was entirely too difficult to use. It was heavy and bulky and only worked some of the time. Switching from DVD to VCR was hit or miss. Recording from...

None that I can think of

Everything else

Toshiba D-VR600 - DVD recorder/ VCR combo

I am very happy with this product. If you need to view vhs tapes on an HDTV (HDMI) this product will fufill your needs. The simplicity of operation, and the ability to record was a bonus.

HDMI Interface, coaxial audio output, allows me to enjoy my vhs ("yes they still exist") achive with a decent to very good resolution on a HDTV.Dual recording capabilities

Took a few hours of playback (VHS) to get the auto tracking to align picture. DVD playback is marginal

Literally unusable

I'm amazed Toshiba markets this product. Every button you press (on machine or remote) has the potential to have a delayed response--sometimes it responds immediately but often it's delayed from a few seconds to minutes (literally). Worse, the whole...

It looks good until you plug it in

Constant crashes, slow response, illogical

The Other Reviewers Are Spot-On...

I understand that this unit is no longer available. And for good reason. Consumer electronics Darwinism at work. It is slow, difficult to operate and repeatedly FAILS to transfer VHS tapes to DVD which is the reason I purchased this unit in the first...

Ceased to work properly after 10 months

Ceased to work properly after 10 months

I really feel like I wasted my money. The unit stopped being able to record from the TV after about 10 months - when I noticed it was too late to claim on the warranty. What a waste of money at a time when no one needs to be wasting money. A great...

Dubbing Rarely Works So Don't Waste Your Money

Dubbing Rarely Works So Don't Waste Your Money

I bought this unit with the intention of dubbing some of my VHS and Hi-8 tapes to DVD and have never reliably able to do it with the D-VR600. I think I have wasted a couple dozen DVDs and only successfully dubbed anything several times. I get the...
