Records Clear, Crisp images with S-Video input

I have owned many stand alone DVD recorders: Philips, Samsung, Toshiba, Magnavox and Sony. This Recorder finally takes care of buisness. If you want to dub your old VHS tapes this does it flawlessly. Recording from Cable or SAT, delivers clear, crisp...

Widescreen 16:9 as well as 2:3 pulldown fits HDTV's with HDMI output up to 1080i and 1080p. Sharper images from Cable box or SAT also makes this one unit to consider. Flex Blank media and built in fan keeps this on the "To recommend list" to others

None really. This Combo unit does not have the problems of other Combo units regarding the synch from VHS to DVD with sound matching real time images and lip synch, which is really important. Only con is the 90 day labor and 1yr warranty

Great Picuture Quality both Live signal and Recordings

The picture far outweighs the only disappointment. I have owned many many recorders since first on the market back in 2002. This is by far, the best there is. Excellent Quality, built sollid and the picture (most important) is much sharper.

S-Video Input allows higher quality recordings

No pass through technology =when you shut off your recorder, the sound and picture (to your TV) also shut off. Pass through on other models /brands will allow the sound and picture to conitnue. Only disappointment

DVD Recorder

"Purchased one month ago. Outstanding reproduction. Very easy to use and set up. I would give it a "two thumbs" up except for the noise I have when the VCR is playing. I have not contacted any one about it yet because I use it mainly for DRV recording...

One of my best purchases ever

"This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I've been recording everything to dvd. My homevideos from my camcorder, old vhs movies and programs I've had for 15+ years, special football/baseball games, tv shows, everything. Of all the electronic...

Easy to quick record everything you want. A fantastic product.

Its a bit complex to utilize all the features available

Finally! A DVD/VCR that works right!

Shopped around, and while Newegg.com did'nt have the lowest price, with free shipping and no tax I came out ahead of some other deals on the net.

With the exception of Blu-Ray,played everything I threw at it.

Manual is complex, even for me, reminds me of an old VCR manual from the 1980's.

Great DVD/VCR

"I purchased the Toshiba D-VR610 VCR/DVD recorder, for the purpose of copying my VHS cassettes to DVD. Here is my experience: * The first night that I hooked it up, it would not dub from VCR to DVD. I tried everything to fix it, but it simply wouldn't...

Great recording quality, lots of functionality

Poorly-written manual
