Toshiba D-R17DT review

Offers plenty of features for just £200

Picture quality ; 1080p upscaling

Slow to change channels ; Poor EPG ; No RGB input or i.Link

Flawed Freeview functionality aside, this is a decent recorder at a good price, with 1080p upscaling as an added bonus

Toshiba D-R17DT DVD Recorder

Toshiba's D-R17DT is a traditional DVD recorder that also boasts a Freeview tuner. Danny finds out if it's worth nabbing one now.

The five recording modes (XP, SP, LP, EP and SLP) enable you to fit between one and eight hours of recordings onto a disc, but the picture quality decreases the lower down the list you go.
