Ease of use. No compression. Copies produced by this machine are legal due to the use of CD-R Audio blanks.Radio can be recorded very easily to the HD and edited later without waste of blanks. Superfast method of duplicating CD's. Can use Yamaha's high...

Uses SCMS copy protection, hence only CD R Audio discs can be used. Editing recordings on the Hard disc takes a while due to the lack of a fast search function.

If you just want to make CD compilations this may be over the top. Then again, it is, as CD recorder/players go, a very good one. But where it really shines is in recording long items, for example a radio broadcast of which you don't necessarily want...

Dead handy for off-air recording and making your own compilations ; Easy to use

A little expensive given you can buy a PC for the same that will do all this and more
