AEG 65170

Far from the prettiest appliance on the market, the AEG 65170 features a 7kg drum capacity and the now standard sensor dry technologies.

Reduces creases ; Quiet ; Lots of useful programmes

Ugly ; Filter is hard to clean

Whilst the AEG 65170 is a good machine, it is a little larger than many other models so do make sure you can fit it into your kitchen. You will also need to be prepared to clean the filter fairly regularly, and this can be a little difficult to do.

Great product

Great value product. Wanted a vented tumble dryer and this fits the bill perfectly. Very pleased.

Not as good as the John Lewis dryer it replaced

We replaced a John Lewis own brand dryer which was essentially the same model with bells and whistles removed. This new one does not have the light in the drum, nor does it have the count down timer so you can see how long is left on the drying and it...

Good Machine

Easy to use. No problem with machine. Do think John Lewis could offer shorter delivery slots like other companies.

Great buy

Purchased to replace an old Zanussi machine. Easy to use despite changing from a more basic time dial model to a programme model. You need to trust that the setting is correct for your load. I haven't had any problems with the hose as mentioned by...

Does the job

There are very few vented tumble driers around these days; I can't imagine why so few as they are cheaper to buy and to run. I bought this AEG to replace one I had for over 6 years, also AEG but branded John Lewis. It had more features than this one...

Stylish effective drier, but disastrous vent.

The drier is ideal for hat we wanted, a straight in and out replacement. But the venting hose is a thin, feeble piece of material, barely equipped for the job. If the vent through your wall is directly in line with the vent from the drier, you'll have...

Totally practical reliable dryer

Love this dryer. It's simple but just works brilliantly. We've bought more expensive ones and this beats them all. Just great and hardly anything creases.

I really like the cupboard dry and extra dry settings which are excellent.

Plausible device, bizarre feature

OK, a vented tumble is a bit old-school, but that's what we were looking for. This could well be our fourth or fifth tumble, all but the first of which were auto-sensing devices (why would anyone buy anything else?). All but the first also had a delay...
