Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars: Director's Cut

A new director's cut brings the classic back to life on the DS. But how does it fare when compared to its brother on the Wii?

A great story that is balanced with humor and intrigue ; Hint system alleviates frustration when puzzle-solving ; Captivating artwork ; Over 10 hours of gameplay

Slightly primitive gameplay compared with other adventure games on the DS ; Lots of text to read through ; No incentive to play it one more time ; Controlling characters can be a chore

Its definitely a toss up. I could see the DS version having the advantage because it could provide a lot of gameplay during a long trip or plane ride. I haven't played the Wii version, but it doesn't matter which version you get since you are getting...

Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars – The Director’s Cut

This game is solidly in the running for longest title on a DS game ever (along with Grand Theft Auto: China Wars) :) Now, as many of you are aware, I love point and click adventures. I miss them s

Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars (Director?s Cut) (DS)

UK developer Revolution Software already had a strong reputation in the world of point-and-click games on home computers thanks to its work on titles such as Beneath a Steel Sky, yet it really shook the Gaming Industry when it brought the wondrous...

Broken Sword was a classic over a decade ago and remains so today, despite many pretenders to the adventure throne appearing over the years and a few games actually surpassing Revolution Software's title. This Director's Cut, whilst not as extensively...

Still makes an Awesome game

If your a broken sword fan you'll know that BS1 is the best (or on par with BS2) broken sword game Revolution have made. Bringing it back onto the Wii was a great move, i just wish there were more games like it for the wii.

If you played the original, you will want to play this!

Think another port of this game to a different console is pointless? Think again. The biggest difference is the addition of extra storyline which almost 'ties up loose ends' compared to the original Broken Sword which was released 13 years ago. A...
