    Buying Guide

Buying Guide - Nintendo DS Games

The Nintendo DS is typically seen as being a gaming system "for kids", but the truth is that the hand held console is home to all types of games, with content ranging from the all-ages fun of New Super Mario Bros. to the more mature Call of Duty 4 port. Games for the DS are released on a fairly regular basis, but with the advent of the Nintendo DSi and the Nintendo 3DS, we may see this number drop. However, the 3DS is backwards compatible, meaning that your full DS library will work on a 3DS. While first party Nintendo games dominate the platform, fans are always on the lookout for quirky hits like Bangai-O Spirits and the Advance Wars series. Popular accessories include the thumb-strap, which allows gamers to forgo the stylus for more hands on action. While online play is within the system's scope of abilities, most DS owners prefer the face-to-face wireless multiplayer abilities the console provides.
