Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

Castlevania is a classic series known to almost all gamers young and old, and no-one cracks a whip like those brave and bold Belmonts. But how does Castlevania: Order of Eccles Cakes Ecclesia fare when it drops both the Belmonts and the whips? In place...

Enjoyable romp through the world of demons, devils and Dracula.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

Admission: Order of Ecclesia is my first experience with a Castlevania game. That may cause some readers to grow pale and quickly denounce a review from a gamer that has never played a Castlevania game, yet calls himself a video game journalist. Stop...

My first impression of the Castlevania series is thus a positive one, and it will unlikely be the last. With addictive, entertaining action RPG gameplay and an effective gothic atmosphere, Order of Ecclesia is a ridiculously fun game. Tight control...

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia : Nintendo DS Review

The GBA had the pleasure of having 3 Castlevania games grace the platform, and now, so does the DS. Is this latest the greatest, or could more be done for the franchise?

Fun combat and bosses ; Slightly more challenging than all previous Metroidvanias ; Length game and good replay value

Only slightly more challenging than all previous Metroidvanias ; Poor map layout and room design ; Annoying quests and grinding still required

A good but flawed game with lots of potential. This could guide the future of Castlevania, but whether Konami feels the same way remains to be seen.

A beautiful lust for blood and perfection.

Spend a day or two engaging in the latest digital hunt for Dracula; it's doubtful you'll regret it.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

The Nintendo DS is a title that really gets a lot of crap crammed in to its library. For every gem like Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia you get ten different Petz titles from Ubisoft, or maybe My Word Coach titles. Regardless we've all been to the game...

I cannot recommend this title enough, especially if you're a fan of the 2-D games in the series. The difficulty may be off-putting to some, but it really becomes a lot more manageable as you become familiar with the game.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Review

The classic series returns to the DS with an installment that's a little different

Order of Ecclesia proves that the Castlevania formula is still as fun now as it was ten years ago, and the new gameplay mechanics keep things fresh and interesting. It's a 2D action masterpiece, and absolute required playing for any DS owner.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

I wonder why they've yet to publish a game on the next-gen systems? I think it would be bitch'n to see a next-gen SOTN sort of game. Post a Comment

If there's one DS game worth picking up for the rest of 2008, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is it. From its beautiful presentation to its engaging gameplay, there is little to complain about in this 2D action title.

The Castlevania series stands alongside Mega Man, Mario, and Zelda as one of most prolific franchises in gaming. Every game in the series is unique, but like all games that fall under the same na...

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Review

Few franchises find me glued to a portable platform like the enduring Dracula-slaying series Castlevania. Its three Game Boy Advance efforts—Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow—were some of the portable platform's best titles....

I’d notch Konamis’ (and, more specifically, Castlevania mastermind Koji Igarashi’s) latest as one of the series' best efforts. It likely won’t unseat Symphony of the Night as fans’ all-time fave, but its inventive gameplay, outstanding visual...
