Chrono Trigger DS

Chrono Trigger has come to be revered as one of the great classic Square RPGs, alongside Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy VI (and possibly Final Fantasy IV, depending on who you ask). As someone who cut his teeth on these games when I was young, it's...

A solid port of a truly great RPG

Nothing new that has been added is especially noteworthy

All in all, this is a top-notch port of one of the greatest games of the 16-bit era, and while it doesn’t really add anything especially noteworthy to the original game, it doesn’t mess up the winning formula, either. For fans of the game just looking...

Chrono Trigger

With such an onslaught of games this holiday season, it was very easy to get lost within the Capital Wasteland that was Fallout 3, frightening corridors filled with the lurking undead that was Left 4 Dead, or the quirky build-it-yourself platformer...

Chrono Trigger allows for veterans to relive their childhood, and newcomers to experience a classic, all while sitting on a bus, train, airplane, or slacking off at work. A must have for any DS owner.

Chrono Trigger

I'll always be biased toward a certain time in my life when games were larger than their graphical bits and life moved without blackberries, instant messaging, or even RPGFan. I'll always think back to my 14th Birthday and my seemingly endless quest...

Chrono Trigger (DS)

Considering the incredible price one would have to pay to acquire the original, Chrono Trigger is a great value that any RPG fan, old or new, can finally enjoy.

No random battles; lots of freedom; loads of replay value; outstanding soundtrack

Battles can feel forced and repetitive; in-game cutscenes show their age; new content doesn't add anything substantial

The legendary time-traveling RPG makes its long-awaited appearance on the Nintendo DS. Does this experience still hold up well in this generation?

Chrono Trigger Review

Chrono Trigger DS is the ultimate version of this undeniably classic RPG.

Wonderful transition from the SNES to the DS, extra dungeons, admirable challenge, role-playing perfection

Most extras simply "good", $40 a bit expensive for an SNES port

In the end, is there really anything more that needs to be said aside from the three words "Chrono Trigger DS?" With no loading times, an improved script, hours and hours' worth of extras, and even more replayability, Chrono Trigger DS is the ultimate...

Chrono Trigger - Nintendo DS

A Timeless Classic

While this game is a great RPG classic, I don't think I can bring myself to re-buying a DS to play this. However, they SHOULD remake this on the next-gen consoles. If they redid it on 360, I'd buy it in a heartbeat

Review: Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS

Getting the new Chrono Trigger release for Nintendo DS in the mail was like getting a large chunk of "happy place" from my past delivered in a box. For those that never played the seminal SNES version of the game released in 1995, or the PS1 port that...
