Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Rev..

It?s not Pokemon, and that?s OK.

Great monster design, day and night cycle makes returning to areas challenging, creating new monsters

Uninteresting story, lots of grinding required, easy to miss helpful information

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Review

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 has me addicted to mixing monsters. Here's why.

Joker 2 has its frustrations, like the level-grinding it sometimes demands and the offense that some monsters take when you try to recruit them. But that monster synthesis system is pure, addictive fun.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2- NDS

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2- NDS

With over 300 monsters - some of which are extremely tricky to catch - Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 will keep you busy for a while, but it doesn't come close to capturing Pokemon's brilliance. It mightn't be another clone, but in the monster-battling...

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2- NDS

It's a brisk, no-nonsense take on the monster-collecting style of role-playing game. Sure, it's also a bit heartless, but as corporate America has taught us, sometimes that's what it takes to be efficient.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2- NDS

From tiny blue Slimes to top and bottom screen filling behemoths, this is where the Dragon Quest legacy is at it's most visible and enjoyable, and every grating moment of this flawed gem is eclipsed by the drive to see just what else is out there.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2- NDS

It may not be an all-time classic like some of the other Dragon Quest installments, but Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 is still a solid entry in one of the most storied RPG franchises around. It's challenging, endearing, not overly complicated, and...
