Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation (DS)

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation marks the first time this role-playing classic has reached American shores. Developer Arte Piazza has skillfully enhanced this Super Famicom giant, adding an impressive dual-screen presentation and immersive...

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation

Familiar with a hint of freshness.

Classic gameplay ; Engaging story

Aging visuals ; Need for level grinding ; Story loses steam after around 15 hours

Thanks for the input! I have the Fire Claw and I pretty much follow that strategy for the first form, but I didn't use Staff of Ghent or Double Up at all. >_> Hopefully when I'm done with the whole game I'll do a review. :)

Dragon Quest VI Review

It took over fifteen years, but the last numbered Dragon Quest game to never make it out of Japan has finally arrived in the west. Is it any good?

Dragon Quest VI will appeal to a very limited demographic of gamers. While Dragon Quest VI’s archaic nature is exactly what hardcore Dragon Quest fans and some JRPG fans crave, it will turn just about everyone else off. It’s cool that western audiences...

Defeating a dread fiend was never so relaxing.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie

Over a year after its release in Japan in January 2010, the closing chapter in Dragon Quest's second trilogy - which is actually set before the events of Dragon Quest IV and Dragon Quest V) - finally sees a release in Europe. Being the last episode...

Releasing it after the more advanced Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies may not have been the wisest of moves, as fans of the latest entry in the series might not stand for the more retro look of Dragon Quest VI. However, those ready to...

Dragon Quest VI Realms of Reverie

The popular Japanese RPG (JRPG) series Dragon Quest arrives on the Nintendo DS for western gamers to embark on a classic yet clichéd story of good versus evil as they explore the realms of Reverie with traditional turn based combat.

Dragon Quest VI is pure Japanese RPG and harkens back to a simpler time of exploration, turn-based combat and characters that sometimes never stop talking... err... texting. The problem with Dragon Quest VI is that it doesn't offer the player anything...

"Fun and Engaging continuation of the Dragon Quest Franchise!"

Love all the Dragon Quest games and this one is no exception! Familiar game play mixes with new heroes and quests that are engaging and challenging. Only problem is you find yourself accidentally playing for hours!
