Drawn to Life (DS)

Drawn to Life for the Nintendo DS is probably the best $30 coloring book you'll ever play. In a nutshell, the game is a platformer that allows you a bit of freedom of artistic expression. It lets you use the stylus to draw and design a variety of...

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is the next in a unique series from an up-and-coming studio. It's the first sequel made by 5th Cell, so it was interesting to see how they would reconcile their history of original games with making a sequel.

Can draw many things in the game

Have to draw many things in the game

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter Re..

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, draw a man a fish gun and he shoots fishes forever.

Drawing is as fun as ever, platforming controls are responsive, difficulty level matches target audience

No more coloring, pacing issues

Pacing aside, there's still plenty to enjoy in the game, although more so for younger audiences, or gamers that don't spend a lot of time double jumping. Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter bests its predecessor in almost every way, and provides one of the...

Here we go again.

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter in the mail, I was certain I was in for a pretty bumpy ride. Instead I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. On the whole, this is a better game than its predecessor in nearly every facet of its design....

Drawn To Life: The Next Chapter Nintendo DS Review

Drawn To Life: The Next Chapter utilizes a fun drawing system for item creation. Using blocks that you can fine tune, you're able to build whatever you please, whether it's using words as platforms or creating a pink flamingo as a melee weapon. There's...

Charming presentation, re-coloring worlds and designing your own character and weapons is a delight

Conversations take way too long, your creations don't show up that often, platforming is made up of basic moves and lacks creativity

When THQ released Drawn To Life two years ago, it opened a creative doorway for players, letting them generate characters and other items to interact with. The sequel, The Next Chapter, works in the same manner. You battle the evil Wilfre, a lunatic...

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is the direct sequel to Drawn to Life for the Nintendo DS. What makes the Drawn to Life series stick out from other DS titles is that you become a de facto art director for the game as you play it. The game starts with a...

By putting the players in the art design seat, there are multiple levels to the game on which it can be enjoyed. The first level is fairly obvious. It is fun to create your own characters and design far-out things, creatures and weapons as your embark...

The game makes heavy use of the DS touchpad for drawing platforms and whatnot. That can be a problem if you are on the road or mobile while you are playing the game. Bumps in the road or sudden movements can destroy a picture. The undo button only...

I really would like to discuss the ending of the game. It deals with very primal forces and puts a fairy tale wrapper around it in a unique way that tells a good parable. The drawings you create make the game's name ring true and brings life to the...

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is a successful sequel to the original game. It does improve upon small things and adds some gameplay variation through different forms. However, the gameplay still feels stagnant and the story is way too drawn out for...
