Madden NFL '08

This year's portable Madden finally gets into the red zone. Does it score?

Incredible selection of modes and options ; All kinds of multiplayer goodness ; Paper football

Buggy, frustrating gameplay ; Underwhelming graphics and sound

a-thank you. I was scared I would offend the sensitive dog lovers but oh well. So far nobody is protesting outside of NWR headquarters.

Madden NFL 08 Review

Back once again with the Yankball master, social life damager, power to the gridiron...

New gameplay features are solidly integrated ; Player Icon system adds depth ; Ring of a Champion is fun for hardcore fans

Franchise still lacks depth and realistic player progression ; The running game is still too confined ; No commentary from John Madden

It's a tale of two generations: current gen Madden 08 is as perfect a sports game as I've ever seen. On the other hand, the next gen titles still have a long way to go.

Another year, another football season, another round of Madden NFL. This year's version of Madden has hit the stores, available on 10 (ten!) different platforms, that's gotta be some sort of record, even for EA.

"Family-friendly" and "insipid" are not synonyms, but you wouldn't know that looking at the Wii games library. Usually "family games" for the Wii are uninspired mini-game collections, Nicktoons adaptations, or just plain shovelware. You ...

Excellent painting-based gameplay; wonderful story and characters; charm and style to spare

Slightly problematic controls; more save points would have been nice

American Football and Britons, there isn't much love in that relationship. Those of us ignorant to the sport may think that it's just rugby with guys in armour, some of us may have even watched the Super Bowl into the early hours of the morning just to...

Well worth a punt

Soccer may be gaining some attention in the US of A, but on the TV screens and in the newspaper sections, it's about as popular as tractor pulling. When it comes to the favourite sporting pastime of the nation, American football effortlessly retains...

Boring

My son who is 7 played this game once and said it was extremely boring, the graphics were poor and was not easy to set up and play. He sent it back the same day!
