Though they share the same name, the DS version of SimCity Creator has little to do with its Wii cousin. Most of the superfluous features of the console version have been ditched, and the Mission mode has been streamlined giving the game a more...

SimCity Creator Nintendo DS Review

There are several modes of play to experience and we chose to begin with the Challenge mode. The tutorial, narrated by an anime-looking character, offers no interaction, and after reading our little friend's lines, we were shuttled off to the first era...

Classic SimCity gameplay on a handheld system, different eras to play, landscaping

Waiting for something to happen, slow reaction time, low level of interaction with buildings and people, restrictive passing of time, Free Play mode saves over Challenge mode data

Anyone familiar with the SimCity franchise knows that the basic formula for success in all of these games involves zoning, budgeting and landscaping. Unfortunately, even these sure-fire features cannot save SimCity Creator from its fate as something...

SimCity Creator

This city-building game is a good choice for when you have plenty of hours to kill.

Easy-to-use stylus controls; multiple eras of civilization to take your cities through

Finer control can be finicky; long save and load times; you can't undo some costly mistakes

Taking a page from the Civilization handbook, SimCity Creator offers an enjoyable evolutionary building experience.

Lengthy Challenge mode eases you into making megacities ; Responsive controls make city-building easy ; Buildings are detailed and correspond to the time period

Only two save slots ; Some icons are too small

Used Game

Just a warning that this game showed up and was a used game - there was no pamphlet inside. I haven't tested the game yet but was intending on giving it as a gift. So just beware that for the clearance price you may get a used copy
