Spore Creatures (DS)

Spore Creatures for the DS isn't the far-reaching trek through evolution you may have expected--but don't take that as a reason to totally dismiss this charming title. It's still a cute adventure across multiple planets, and it features a pared-down...

Spore Creatures Review

Not your father's, um, Spore.

Decent creature editor; badges for completing achievements

Repetitive gameplay; storyline restricts creature creation; creature friends get in the way of certain tasks; problems with stylus during creature editing

Unfortunately, while the quests and mini-games vary from region to region, overall gameplay is rather repetitive. You enter a new area, befriend/fight creatures, discover body parts, and move to the next area. Rinse and repeat. The cuddle and dance...

Spore Creatures

Focusing on and sensibly enhancing a single stage of Spore on PC, Spore Creatures for Nintendo DS is easily the better Spore game.

Not only does Spore Creatures for Nintendo DS concentrate on the more redeemingly playable second level of Spore on PC, the land-lubbing creature creating bit, it does so in a much more engaging and more "all ages" sort of way.

Spore Creatures

Spore Creatures is smaller in scope yet more focused than its PC counterpart.

Creature creation has been translated nicely to the DS; simple to play; good for younger kids

Some issues with stylus-driven controls; creature constantly changes appearances; very basic gameplay

The basic gameplay elements from Spore's creature stage have been expanded upon in Spore Creatures, and if you're looking for more of that, you'll be quite pleased by this attractive little adventure. You can even hop online over Wi-Fi to trade and...

Spore Creatures- DS

Spore creatures is actually quite fun once you get into it, it's no where near as good as the PC game Spore, so if you enjoy this then make sure you check it out the PC game. The controls are easy to master and the graphics are very good for a DS game....

Spore Creatures review

Most games, these days, are released on multiple SKUs. SKU, for those that don't know, is the frightfully dull industry-acronym for Stock Keeping Units, which for normal people means ‘how many platforms it comes out on'. Going multi-SKU makes good...

Spore Creatures

Spore Creatures is pleasant and charming, but ultimately forgettable.

Cute adventure across multiple planets ; Varied quest objectives keep things from getting stale ; Creature creator is surprisingly robust

Some frustrating gameplay elements ; Various control and camera quirks ; Being forced into certain creature designs minimizes player creativity
