Star Fox: Command

Of all Nintendo's long standing franchises, Star Fox is the black sheep. Oh, it's been around since the glory days of the SNES, and it impressed the hell out of gamers and critics alike with 3D shaded polygons on a home console. Star Fox has earned its...

Fox is finally back to his roots, but not as gamers expected. The new turn-based strategy dynamic might befuddle fans at first, but it adds more gameplay depth than the series has seen in quite a while. The story has branching paths again, prompting...

Starfox Command on Nintendo DS

When it is all said and done, why can’t fans be given what we want instead of new and awkward gameplay elements? Instead of on foot levels, give us more “on the rail” stages. Instead of a stupid “collect the stars” multiplayer mode, give us more...

Star Fox Command - DS review at Thunderbolt Games

Once upon a time, the Star Fox series kicked ass. There was Fox McCloud, flying on a straight and pure course for the salvation of the Lylat solar system. He had a bunch of awesome characters acting as his backup, each with their own personality quirks...

Star Fox Command Nintendo DS Review

While playing through the games separate pathways doesn't ever introduce much more difficulty to the title, it does fill players in on the entire story taking place throughout the game. The storyline isn't exactly a dramatic masterpiece, but there is...

Star Fox Command

Flying around in circles has never been this much fun.

STRATEGERY ; Fun, straightforward online mode ; Cornucopia of enemy designs ; Sharp graphics and excellent sound

Playing well can still result in a "bad" ending ; Missile chases and base wrecking get tiresome ; Plays almost nothing like original Star Fox ; Online dropouts immediately end the game

Star Fox Command

Take command of a ragtag bunch of animals in space.

Inventive gameplay; robust branching storyline; pilots have unique weapons and attributes

Flying with the stylus takes some getting used to; minor inconsistencies in touch control

Find out how well an Arwing handles on the Nintendo DS.

All of these dog fights have very specific objectives that must be completed within a time limit and they're all very simple and straight forward. The game will show you a brief cut scene of the enemies that you have to destroy and then you can take...

Star Trek: Tactical Assault

The Federation is under siege from Klingon, Romulan, Gorn, and Orion fleets in this real-time strategy game set in the classic Star Trek universe. Playing as either James T. Kirk of the Federation or a member of the Klingon Empire in two distinct campaign

Star Fox Command (DS)

For Starfox fans, this is a must. The controls have been re-vamped for the DS touch screen, and are fluid and have very few hitches. Online battles are just as fun as ever, albeit with not many modes of combat. The strategy element of this game is also...

Excellent controls, decent graphics, fun gameplay

poor artwork, cutscenes are laughable, battles can be a little repetitive

Not Bad at All

After the lackluster offering on the GameCube that was Starfox: Assault, it's nice to see a slight return to roots in Starfox DS.

The multiplayer would have been better if they'd incorporated some of the strategy into it, but dogfighting is fun enough on it's own.
