Super Mario 64 (DS)

Today, polygonal gaming is a given. We've advanced through a few generations of 3D gaming hardware, and generally speaking, 3D graphics are in a pretty good spot right now. But when polygonal games were first delivered to the masses, it was a huge...

According to a new lawsuit, the Kindle combined with discounted $9.99 e-books so terrified the publishing industry that it joined forces with Apple in a scheme to force Amazon to raise its prices

Super Mario 64 DS- Nintendo DS Game Reviews - Mobile Tech Review

Although terms like "innovative" and "revolutionary" are thrown around quite often when discussing Nintendo DS games, back when Super Mario 64 was released in '96, people meant it. A truly 3D platformer starring everyone's favorite plumber wasn't just...

Analog control was a big feature of Mario 64 when such things were still new, but it was never without its own drawbacks. While some may find the lack of analog control frustrating, I had no problems whatsoever with the D-Pad configuration. Pressing Y...

Super Mario 64 DS

Is Nintendo's only DS launch title a super remake or just a quick cash-in?

It's Super Mario 64, for crying out loud ; Loads of new and reworked bits for a total of 150 stars ; Addictive mini-game collection is nice diversion ; Old-school touches like Super Mushroom and Balloon Mario

Control options can't completely replace the N64 joystick ; Weak dual-display implementation; map is grainy and mostly useless ; New content is mostly minor stuff

It's-a Mario! One of his greatest adventures ever gets an overhaul for the touch screen generation.

It's a portable Mario 64 with lots of added features. What else do you need to know

Control takes some getting used to; limited multi-player

This is a great game. I got it in 2004, and it still works great. The only time it glitched was --of course-- when I used Action Replay on it

Repetitive levels, no difference in goals/objectives. Some levels really easy, others are really difficult. Simple enemies

All in all, this is a great game. It doesn't lag (unlike Scribblenauts), and the graphics are great for 2004. There are a lot of hidden challenges and stars, and there actually is a little thinking involved sometimes. My only complaint would be that...

Super Mario 64 (DS)

This is, simply put, one of the greatest games ever made. Ever. The original Super Mario Bros. for the NES changed gaming forever by inventing the platformer, and this game changed 3D gaming by bringing the platformer back into the modern era of...

It's a portable version of the greatest platformer ever made

Controls are slightly shifty
