Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys

OK, someone out there must have really loved 1985's Return of the Living Dead.

Zombies! Angry brains with a face from outer space! Gruesome morgue-style reverse vivisections! And it’s a cute, harmless game for kids

Ummm…it’s a 2D platformer on a handheld system, aimed at younger audiences, so I feel a bit silly playing (much less getting a kick out of) it

Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys is a straightforward and simple platformer with a twist. Your heroes are brain sucking zombies fighting off an alien race of brains in the defense of a hapless and otherwise defenseless earth. And...

Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys review for the DS

When we pretend that we're dead.

Cartoony cut-scenes; Funny plot; Zombies eating lots of brains

Repetitive gameplay; Only one song for all the levels; Broken stylus-based mini-games; Glitchy controls in general; Not much variation in backgrounds or enemies

Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys! - Review

While the rest of the gaming world is reveling in Russian gangsters, badly controlled vehicles and broken promises of a fixed lock-on system, there are a few of us video game enthusiasts who haven't dropped everything for Rockstar's crazy successful...

I got a lot of enjoyment out of this game. It isn't the prettiest, longest or most challenging game out there, but if you thirst for an era of puzzles, slower pacing and an almost tangible sense of style, you'll probably like these zombies as much as I...

Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys!

Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys is a very simple action-platform game. The game's overall style is comic-book inspired, and as you play it is easy to feel like you are lost in the pages of a comic book. However, one of the main...

Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys Nintendo DS Review

If these were Teenage Mutant Ninja Zombies we'd really be on to something.

Teenage Zombies is full of great ideas and concepts, all wrapped together in a charming and funny package. Unfortunately, the slow-paced gameplay, short length, and terribly linear design conspire to undermine the positive elements. It's a fun game for...

Product Specifications

The Earth is under invasion by a horde of Alien Brain Thingys! The hopes are three Teenage Zombies that have risen from a graveyard disturbed in the invasion. Humans, succumbing to ray-guns, mindcontrol, and shiny flying saucers, have failed to defend their planet and let it fall easily into the clutches of the Big Brain and his army of Brain Things. The undead trio ignores their normal human victims in favor of the pulsing pink brains they see everywhere - all the while being lured to the ultimate lunch: the Big Brain! The Big Brain soon realizes he is overlooked this "Super Race" as they inexplicably resist mind-control, are unaffected by ray-gun wounds, and devour his Brain Thingy Armies like sweets! He refocuses his efforts and resources to battle the Earth's greatest champions: The Teenage Zombies!
